Our work.

We have worked in nearly every new medium, on a diverse range of projects, with a wide variety of clients both large and small. The following examples provide a brief overview of the diversity of our work.

Winner of the 2007 TUANZ Business Internet
Education Award.

Te Tuhi ā-Hiko (Digital Writing Tool) is the first interactive writing tool designed specifically to support year 5–8 Māori medium students and was developed by Boost in collaboration with Learning Media Ltd for the Ministry of Education.

Te Tuhi ā-Hiko supports both students and teachers by focusing on the form, features and language required to write successfully across three genres and two levels of difficulty. Information on the writing process including possible teaching approaches, and guidance for lesson plans and monitoring student progress is incorporated within the resource. Te Tuhi ā-Hiko features inbuilt checklists and evaluation tools which support students in assessing their work and to promote self-assessment and peer-assessment.

This was always a Māori project and Boost totally engaged with what this meant. Their commitment is reflected both in the quality of the resource, and the fact they weren't treated as outsiders, they were immediately accepted by the kids and teachers. The team worked hard to express our cultural beliefs, metaphors and process throughout the project. The TUANZ Education Award win reflects the design, technical, educational and language expertise invested in Te Tuhi ā-Hiko.

Ehara koe i a ia!
