Boost works on high-impact government digital services. The things we help design and deliver are used by millions of people, often at important moments in their lives. That means our work needs to be thoughtful, practical, and designed around real user needs.
Our projects involve improving how government services are delivered and experienced - collaborating closely with clients and end users, combining different perspectives and skills, and working together to solve meaningful problems.
Our mission is to help create positive and lasting impacts for New Zealanders. We care about making digital services better for the people who use them, and partner with organisations that share our values.
You’ll work closely with designers, developers, coaches, clients, and users to solve problems together, learn as you go, and shape better outcomes. We work in an iterative, agile way - adapting quickly, sharing knowledge freely, and improving all the time.
You’ll work on one project at a time so you can give it your full attention. There’s no juggling priorities, no overtime, and no end-of-project stress - just clear goals, steady progress, and the space to do your best work.
You’ll work with great people in a friendly, down-to-earth environment. There’s coffee and fruit to keep you going, team lunches, and regular events to celebrate success.
We look after you so you can do your best work. Our onboarding process sets you up for success, with a buddy to support you and coffee dates to connect with the team. You’ll also get free flu shots, access to the Headspace meditation app, and EAP counselling for you and your immediate family.
You’ll have a coach rather than a manager. You’ll meet one-on-one each month to talk about your goals, develop your skills and shape a career path that works for you.
People who do well at Boost are thoughtful, collaborative, and easy to work with.
We place a high value on empathy, communication and the ability to work well in a team. Building strong relationships with the people you work with matters just as much as technical capability.
